Police are looking for an armed carjacker who struck in Newark, Delaware

The Newark Police Department is presently investigating an armed carjacking that occurred on Thursday, November 24, 2022, about 12:32 PM. The victim stated that they had exited a store in The Grove shopping complex and were walking back to their vehicle when the suspect approached them.

According to officials, the suspect flashed a weapon to the victim and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The victim gave in to the suspect’s demands. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s car, heading towards Marrows Road. During the carjacking, the victim was not wounded.

The suspect is described as a black guy, 6’00” to 6’02”, with a skinny frame, carrying a weapon.
The guy may have been dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt and a mask.

The victim’s automobile has yet to be found. This incident involved a white Toyota Rav-4 with the New Jersey registration plate E93PCT. If you spot the automobile, do not approach it; instead, dial 9-1-1 immediately.
